Rare miniature Barn Owl by Harold N. Gibbs (1886-1970) Barrington, RI, c. 1950-60's
 
Perched pose as if looking down from its natural driftwood base for prey. Carved in face with tiny glass eyes.  Deep relief carved wings coming to split wing tips raised over its tail.  Spectacular paint.
