Mallard Drake - Elmer Crowell
3/4 size Mallard Drake decoy by Elmer/Cleon Crowell of East Harwich, MA c.1935. Turned head with bill carving detail and taxidermy glass eyes. Bears the Crowell square stamp on the underside twice.
When this decoy was made, mallards were not as prevalent along the Atlantic Flyway, as is evidenced by their scarce representation as decoys along the East Coast.
Condition: Original with possible small amounts of touch up to white on neck.
