Content Wood Duck drake by Russ Burr (1887-1955) Hingham, MA, c. 1930
A plump and finely detailed singular drake, perched atop a signature Russ Burr driftwood base. Unlike most of Burr's miniature ducks, Russ added carved details not seen in others. Russ extensively carved the primary wing feathering as well as carving out the tail feathers. Additional dropped wings were carved out in detail and added to the carving making this a unique addition to any New England miniatures collection.
Condition: Original in very good condition with slight roughness to some wing tip feathers.
Scene is 4.75" tall
