Black Bellied Plover

George H. Boyd (1873-1941)
Seabrook, NH, c. 1900

Earlier example with tight and identifiable stippled paint across the body.  Iconic Boyd beetle head form with an original dry surface that has developed a delightful soft patina.

Condition: Original paint with a soft patina.  One of the eyes has broken some glass off.  A few minor early spots of paint rub to bare wood on the body and paint flaking on the bill.  And an area of discoloration on the bottom.  Small area of tail feather restoration at the very tip of the upper point.
