Redhead drake decoy by Jim Schmiedlin of Bradford Woods, PA circa 2003.

Large bulbous hollow carved body with a turned head. The carved details, including the often overlooked slight tuft on the chest, reflect the level of technical creation by an ardent observer of the waterfowl he hunted and sought to achieve in wood. This decoy displays the classic carved bill details as well as the layered incised tail feathers. As usual, Jim didn't miss the mark on painting this decoy.

Original keel with weight, branded JAS on underside with his 'Reward for Return' along with other notes on the lifes journey of the decoy. Retains original rigging.

Condition: Great original condition with light gunning wear.
